Shanghai, March 18- The 2nd Yiwu Import Commodities Fair will be held on May 13 to 16, with “gathering international high-quality goods and leading China’s domestic consumption” as its theme.
“We are going to make Yiwu into a bridgehead of global consumer goods which will enter China’s market so as to form the new pattern of “buy from the world and also sell to the entire world,” said Yiwu’s vice mayor He Shaojun on yesterday’s meeting.
With 2000 standard booths and 50,000-square-meter exhibition area, this year’s fair includes 5 large pavilions- Asia Pavilion, Joint Pavilion of America, Oceania and Africa, Europe Pavilion, Japan and South Korea Boutique Pavilion of as well as Hong Kong and Taiwan Pavilion.
With the largest scale among China’s import trade fairs, the 2nd Yiwu Import Commodities Fair will provide more than 100,000 kinds of consumer goods from more than 100 countries and regions such as Europe, America, Japan and South Korea, Southeast Asia.
Exhibits will cover six major categories- import household goods, imported food, alcohol and health care products, imported clothing and accessories, imported handicrafts and ornaments, cross-border e-business and international trade services.
Yiwu is one of China’s cities with the most developed cross-border e-commerce. In 2015, according to statistics, its sales volume of import commodities surpassed 6.5 billion yuan, among which import consumer goods increased 105%.
