Shanghai, May 27- The 4th Advanced Manufacturing Conference & Exhibition was held in Shanghai on May 25th to 27th, providing a business and communication platform and helping enterprises open China and overseas market.

This year’s AMC attracts many global advanced manufacturing enterprises from China, Germany, the US, Japan and Switzerland to communicate with each other and exhibit their newest intelligent manufacturing solutions, technology and products.

The AMC has been successfully held in Shanghai since 2012. It now has become one of the most professional and authoritative communication platforms for advanced manufacturing enterprises.

Experts and scholars from both home and abroad had in-depth discussion on new features and future trend of China’s manufacturing industry.

China's manufacturing industry had accounted for 20% of the world in 2011. However, China's manufacturing industry is facing three major problems: weak innovation ability, lack of core and key technology, serious pollution and waste of resources.

Liu Baicheng, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering told reporter from Eastday.com that they have launched five projects including innovation promotion, intelligent manufacturing, foundation strengthening, sustainable development and high-end equipment so as to realize the goal of Made in China 2015.

After recent inspection in German and the US manufacturing companies, Liu noted 3 advices to promote China’s manufacturing industry. The first is to further improve the technology innovation system and make companies increase their investment in innovation and raise the conversion ratio of technological achievement.

Liu suggested paying attention on Industry 2.5 and combining it with modern information technology.

Intelligent manufacturing is also a good breakout. “We should promote it in two phases: first select some enterprises in aviation and automobile industry for example, provide them with clear and specific top-level design, roadmap and packages of plans and then promote gradually,” said Liu Baicheng.
