After Rio De Janeiro, Viareggio, Cannes, Monte Carlo and Portofino, the legendary island of Capri, renowned for luxury and a quintessential Italian style, was the perfect location for Azimut|Benetti Group to host its latest Yachting Gala. This exclusive event is dedicated to owners and enthusiasts of megayachts that have been designed Azimut|Benetti Group, the world’s leading builder of them.

In late May, over 700 yacht lovers including the guests invited by Benetti Asia landed on Capri from around the world to celebrate the splendid yachts built by the Group in an atmosphere that truly reflected the charm of an Italian lifestyle.
The Marina Grande on the island played host to a fleet of no less than 22 yachts, representing the Group’s entire range. Guests had the chance to experience these remarkable yachts, created with design, power and technology, at sea in the waters off the Faraglioni, the Arco Naturale, Marina Piccola bay, and in several other enchanting locations.
The Yachting Gala also provided an opportunity to celebrate Benetti|Azimut Group’s partnership with Rolls Royce and its futuristic Azipull Carbon 65 pod propulsion system, which has already been fitted to the Benetti Vivace 125’ (38 meters). It also featured another Benetti yacht in the Fast Displacement line, Benetti Veloce 140’ (42 meters).

The climax of the Gala was a dinner, staged at La Canzone del Mare, with its seafront terrace looking out over the Faraglioni. The evening began with a welcome from a tarantella folk dance group, followed by a delicious meal and post dinner entertainment.
The traditional parade of Azimut and Benetti yachts, illuminated by a magical light show, was followed by fireworks, which gave the signal to start the festivities at Anima e Core, the iconic Capri nightclub where our guests danced into the early hours of the morning.

Benetti has made promising progress over the past two months. Clients from China and Australia have shown huge interests in the brand and a number of potential buyers from both countries have visited Benetti’s shipyards in Italy to better understand the brand and its unique offering.
