瑞士初创企业中国行:展示创新项目 对话投资人
Two-min presentation and one-min Q&A, 10 Swiss high-tech entrepreneurs went on stage in succession to showcase their innovative programs in Shanghai on Oct 28, seeking for possible collaboration with Chinese investors and companies.
It was part of 2016 venture leaders China that is an annual 10-day business development program initiated by swissnex China from the year of 2014 to explore the China mainland and Hong Kong (a new destination for this year) potential market for Swiss startups.
This year the 10 companies stood out from more than 60 applications through layers of screening by lab venture, Swiss National entrepreneurship training institutions. Most of the winners are alumni in Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) and Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich(ETHZ).
They participated in a series of events like road show,expert coachingand meeting with investors in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hong Kong during their stay from Oct 25 to Nov 2 in China.
Covering a number of fields like medical health, bio-tech, agro-tech, new material and hardware, the innovative programs they bring include a device that detects cardiovascular disease from a drop of blood, an innovative probiotic that improves animal growth, "Zero Standby Power"wireless control system, a wearable medical device which facilitate family planning, additive-free uncopiable anti-counterfeiting solutions for brand owners.
"1 Drop Diagnostics" is saving lives through better and faster portable medical diagnostics from a single drop of blood. CEO and founder Luc Gervais told eastday reporter they hope to find investors and companies that can help them enter Chinese market.
Ava develops a wearable medical device which monitors the menstrual cycle of women to precisely indicate fertile days and facilitate family planning. In the pitching, CEO Pascal Koenig answered the question with regard to the privacythat they are using a proprietary protocol to protect privacy, and the databases are separated and inaccessible from each other.
Besides, Pascal Koenig told eastday reporter that they are in discussion with Chinese companies such babytree, JD, Tmall and Xiaomi.
Swiss entrepreneurs communicate with people from Chinese startups entering the city’s incubators on Oct. 30. They also had a road show in Shanghai big database innovative base in Yangpu District on Oct. 31.

讲演2分钟,答问60秒,10家瑞士高科技企业带头人轮番上台,展示创新项目……近日,瑞士国家初创企业代表团来到上海,通过项目路演、投资人见面会等交流活动,寻求与中国投资人和商业机构的合作可能。
这一名为venture leaders China的商业拓展项目由瑞士联邦政府科技文化中心发起,2014年首次在中国举办。每年,企业团前往上海、北京、深圳等地进行商务拓展,体验中国创业环境,了解在华商业机遇。香港是今年新增的推介目的地。
此番来华的瑞士企业是经瑞士国家创业培训机构 venturelab 层层筛选,从60多份申请中脱颖而出的。获胜者大多为瑞士两所联邦理工大学(苏黎世联邦理工大学及洛桑联邦理工大学)的校友。
这些企业涵盖医疗健康,农业与环境,仪器和新材料等领域,他们的创新项目如:仅用1滴血就能实时查出心血管疾病,帮助备孕的可穿戴医疗设备、"待机零能耗"无线控制系统,新型可持续饲料以及尖端医疗诊断设备等。
致力于便携式快速医疗诊断的1Drop Diagnostics被与会者亲切称为"一滴血",创始人及首席执行官LucGervais告诉东方网记者,通过路演等一系列交流活动,他们希望找到中国投资者,以及能帮助其成功进入中国市场的企业。
Ava 研发的是可探测女性月经周期,通过准确预测排卵期来协助备孕的可穿戴设备。路演现场,首席执行官Pascal Koenig在被问及使用中如何保护女性隐私时回答,他们使用专有的协议编码,并用SSL加密传输。此外,数据库是分开的,因此个人信息将会很安全。
此外,Pascal Koenig向东方网记者透露,他们正与宝宝树、京东、天猫、小米等中国企业开展合作洽谈。
据了解,venture leaders项目已在美国开展十余年,帮助数百家瑞士科技创业企业成功登陆美国。
