Shanghai, June 16- Shanghai recently released a Blue-collar Labor Force Flow Index, which shows that Pudong New Area ranks at the top of the Blue-collar Labor Force Flow Comprehensive Ranking, followed by Minhang, Jiading, Songjiang, Jing’an and Xuhui.

According to the index, Pudong, Jiading, Minhang, Songjiang, Baoshan and Fengxian rank in the top six of the manufacturing industry; while Pudong, Putuo, Huangpu, Jiading, Minhang and Qingpu rank in the top six of the service industry.

Looking at the labor force flow in regional manufacturing and the service industry, there are obvious differences between central city areas and the suburbs. Blue-collar workers are still concentrated in the suburbs, while workers in the service industry are mainly located in central city areas.

Of all the districts, Pudong New Area performs the best in all kinds of blue-collar labor force flow rankings due to a number of clusters in the service industry and manufacturing industry foundations found in a number of development zones.

Notably, Minhang, Jiading and Songjiang do better than Jing’an, Xuhui and Huangpu in services and manufacturing industry ranking. Qingpu’s blue-collar workers in the service industry have already exceeded Xuhui, as Qingpu in recent years has not only maintained its advantage in manufacturing, but has also promoted the rapid development of the service industry.
