The Consulate General of Israel in Shanghai issued an 8-year visa to a Chinese citizen this November, which is the longest validity visa, most close to a 10-year after the new policy was released.
This visa holder Mr. Jie is able to freely go to and from Israel before 2024 for sightseeing and business visits.
Under the newly-signed bilateral agreement between the two countries, starting from Nov. 11, 2016, a Chinese citizen holding a national passport could request a multi-entrance B2 visa for a period of up to 10 years in any of the Israeli consulates worldwide.
A Chinese citizen traveling to Israel with a 10-year visa will be able to stay in Israel up to 90 consecutive days each visit, and no more than 180 days each year, starting from the day he enters Israeli borders. The visa will be valid for duration of up to 10 years, but will expire no later than 6 months before the Chinese Passport expires. The visa will not be transferred to a new passport.
Obtaining a 10-year visa requires an almost new visa, a strong demand for multiple trips to Israel for business and tourism and complete submission of all materials required for visa. The 10-year visa charges 150 yuan RMB.
