Seven Chinese business schools shine in the FT (Financial Times) Global MBA Ranking 2018, which features the world’s best 100 full-time MBA programs.

A total of 155 schools took part in the 2018 edition of the FT Global MBA Ranking. On the list of the top 100 which was released on Monday, Jan. 29, seven Chinese schools are ranked among the top 50.

Four of those schools are in mainland China. CEIBS (China Europe International Business School), based in Shanghai, is in the top 10 in eighth place. The School of Business of Renmin University of China is back at 39, up four places from 2015. Antai College of Economics and Management of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the School of Management of Fudan University respectively rank 34th and 42nd.

Overall, U.S. business schools still dominate the list. A majority of the top ten full-time MBA programs are offered by U.S. schools. The second most spots on the list are taken by European schools, followed by international cooperative schools.

The ranking has 20 different criteria. Among them, quantified criteria of graduates’ career development, according to a news report of Jiefang Daily, are what MBA applicants care most about. Salary increase has become the strongest attraction of Chinese business schools. The salary rise of Antai College of Economics and Management of Shanghai Jiao Tong University reaches 182% and tops the world. The School of Management of Fudan University is next to it.
