An exhibition featuring Tang Dynasty (AD 618-907) cultural relics is being held at the Zhejiang Provincial Museum in Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province, Feb 27, 2017.

The exhibit showcases 120 sets of precious relics from the flourishing period of the Tang Dynasty, which were unearthed from the underground palace of Qingshan Temple in Lintong district of Xi'an.

These relics show the great splendor of cultural exchanges between China and the West during the Tang Dynasty.

According to historical records, Qingshan Temple was a royal monastery constructed under the order of Empress Wu Zetian and later was destroyed after her abdication.

Only the underground palace of Qingshan Temple was preserved and accidently discovered in 1985. Cultural relics unearthed from the site shocked the world.
