Animal heads of Old Summer Palace relics shown in Shanghai

An exhibition featuring four original relics from Beijing's Old Summer Palace - copper animal heads including pig, ox, monkey and tiger opens for free in Shanghai till Nov. 29, 2015.

The 12-zodiac animal heads were water outlets of the time fountain in the Old Summer Palace, the royal garden of Qing Dynasty and then were looted with other precious cultural relics during the Second Opium War. China got back the four animal heads in 2000 and 2003.

Time: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.

即日起至11月29日,圆明园十二生肖铜兽首中的猪首、牛首、猴首、虎首真品在上海长阳路666号作公益展出。每天上午9点至下午18点,市民可前往免费观展。
