天青色等烟雨，而我在等你

——"新瓷"中国当代艺术陶瓷特展亮相比利时

As the pop star Jay Chou sings in the song, Chinese porcelain has been appreciated by Chinese and foreign people with its graceful and restrained beauty since ancient times. Hans Van Duysen, President of Sino-Belgium Friendship Association is such a fan. He takes blue porcelain as his Wechat portrait and is committed to promoting the friendship and cultural exchanges between the two countries. Even his grandfather is a well-known blue-and-white porcelain collector. Besides, the association has many years of cooperationan with Shanghai People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (SPAFFC) .

"素胚勾勒出青花笔锋浓转淡，瓶身描绘的牡丹一如你初妆"，正如周杰伦在《青花瓷》所吟，中国陶瓷以其特有的婉约和唯美自古受到中外人士的喜爱。比利时中国友好协会主席汉斯（Hans Van Duysen）就是这样一位粉丝，他以青瓷作为自己的微信头像，更致力于推动比中友谊和文化交流，其祖父还是一位知名的青花瓷收藏家。比中友好协会与上海市人民对外友好协会则是合作多年的老朋友。

2016 marks the 65th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Belgium and China. On 12 April, a long-awaited contemporary Chinese porcelain exhibition titled "New China" opened at the China Culture Center in Brussels, Belgium. 50 pieces of ceramics created by 18 Chinese artists such as Zhou Guozhen, Wei Jiansong and Lu Yunhua are displayed at the exhibition, attracting almost 100 visitors in all walks of life.

2016年正值中国与比利时建交65周年。4月12日晚，一场汉斯期待已久的名为"新瓷 New China"的中国当代艺术陶瓷特展在比利时布鲁塞尔中国文化中心揭幕。展览由上海市文广局、布鲁塞尔中国文化中心主办、上海艺评会文化有限公司承办、上海市人民对外友好协会、上海市商务委员会等协办。

The exhibition is hosted by Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture, Radio, Film & TV, arts, China Culture Center in Brussels, organized by Shanghai Yi-Ping-Hui culture company and co-organized by SPAFFC.

中国陶艺泰斗周国桢教授、旅日艺术家尉涧松、上海当代艺术家陆云华、景德镇陶瓷学院教授周芳、东华大学赵强教授、旅美艺术家朱者赤、浙江省工艺美术大师梅红玲等18位中国陶瓷艺术家亲临展览现场，总共50件作品集中展示了中国当代陶艺的高水准、新风貌。展览吸引了比利时政、商、艺术界近百位嘉宾和观众，大家以瓷会友，以瓷交流。

Although Brussels suffered a lot in the March 22 terrorist attacks, Chinese artists still insist on going there, conveying hopes for peace and sending best wishes to local people with their works of ceramics. The exhibition will further promote bilateral cultural exchanges and deepen friendship, said SPAFFC.

虽然布鲁塞尔刚刚经历了3.22爆恐袭击，中国艺术家坚持亲临当地，用陶瓷表达和平之声，传递美好祝福。中比人民友谊的小船坚不可摧。上海市友协表示，此次特展必将进一步推动双方文化交流，加深中比人民友情。

On one hand, Chinese porcelain has a deep-rooted and long-standing association with Belgium and Europe. In 1900, King of Belgium bought the China Palace and the Octagonal Pavilion exhibited at Paris Expo, and relocated them in the garden of the Imperial Palace on the northern outskirts of Brussels. Afterwards, the China Palace were specially used to collect Chinese ceramics.

事实上，比利时及欧洲与中国的陶瓷情缘由来已久。早在16世纪，中国陶瓷便传入欧洲。1900年，比利时国王利奥波德二世将法国巴黎世博会上参展的中国宫和八角亭买下，并迁建在布鲁塞尔北郊行宫的御花园中。后来，这座中国宫用来专门收藏中国陶瓷。

On the other hand, Chinese procelain has been experiencing breakthrough and innovation in the thousands years of heritance and development. The exhibition, just as the name "New China" is to display the contemporary Chinese porcelain to the Belgian and European viewers. And this is another excellent case that Chinese culture "goes abroad".

另一方面，中国陶瓷在上千年的传承和发展中，也不断经历着突破和创新。此次特展正是向比利时及欧洲观众传递中国当代的艺术陶瓷，正如展览的名字："新瓷"。而这也是中国文化"走出去"的又一出色案例。

The curator of the exhibition Chen Haibo said that what he wants to present is the contemporary works combining craftmanship and innovation spirit of Chinese artists, which is based on tradition and facing future.

策展人、文化部中国文化传媒集团艺术品评估委员会上海工作站主任陈海波出席开幕式并表示，他想展示给西方的，是既传承中国工匠精神又饱含艺术家创新精神的中国当代陶瓷作品，立足传统也面向未来。

The exhibition "New China" will be held in Paris and Amsterdam, popularizing the contemporary Chinese porcelain to more places in Europe.

出席当天开幕式的嘉宾还包括比利时布鲁塞尔中国文化中心主任严振全、比利时Marie Haps大学东方艺术学教授Laurence Bernard、中国驻比利时大使馆向参赞，以及比中友好协会会长汉斯。据了解，"新瓷"还将参访比利时布鲁塞尔、法国巴黎、荷兰阿姆斯特丹三座名城的各大博物馆与艺术机构，将中国当代瓷艺推广至欧洲更多地方。

Time-honored Chinese ceramic art is taking a new look and waiting for the beautiful encounter with the West.

"天青色等烟雨，而我在等你，炊烟袅袅升起，隔江千万里，在瓶底书汉隶仿前朝的飘逸，就当我为遇见你伏笔 "，历经千年传承的中国陶瓷艺术正以全新的面貌等待一场场与西方的美丽邂逅。
