大师重返上海滩——斯洛伐克向上海赠送邬达克头像雕塑

Park Hotel, Grand Theatre, Moore Memorial Church, Normandie Apartments and "Green House"…all these deeply-impressed buildings in Shanghai were designed by the same architect: Ladislav Eduard Hudec. As 2016 Chinese Cultural Heritage Day approaches, Consulate General of Slovakia, where Hudec was born and buried, donated the bust of Hudec to Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center.

国际饭店、大光明电影院、沐恩堂、武康大楼、"绿房子"……这些深入人心的沪上知名建筑均出自同一位设计师：拉斯洛·邬达克。在2016年中国文化遗产日来临之际，大师出生成长并长眠的故乡——斯洛伐克向上海赠送了邬达克的头像雕塑。

Connected and assisted by Shanghai People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (SPAFFC), the donation ceremony was held recently at the exhibition center. Consul General of Slovakia in Shanghai Amb. Frantisek Hudak, President of Slovak Architects Society Juraj Hermann, Deputy Inspector of Shanghai Municipal Planning, Land and Resources Administration Chen Weiping, Vice President of SPAFFC Mao Zhiqiong and President of Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center Hang Yan attended the event.

经上海市人民对外友好协会牵线，"邬达克头像雕塑捐赠仪式"日前在上海城市规划展示馆举行。斯洛伐克驻上海总领事弗兰季谢克·胡达克、斯洛伐克建筑师协会会长赫曼、上海市规划和国土资源管理局副巡视员陈薇萍、上海市人民对外友好协会副会长茅志琼，以及上海城市规划展示馆馆长杭燕出席了活动。

Under the commission of Slovak Consulate General in Shanghai, the 22×26×26cm sculpture, was designed and made by Slovak Architects Society, and then transported to Shanghai. It is permanently exhibited at the hall of the historical scene protection and open to public for visit.

这座长22厘米、宽26厘米、高26厘米的头像雕塑，由斯洛伐克驻上海总领事馆委托斯洛伐克建筑师协会设计制作后跋涉万里来到上海，今后将被上海城市规划展示馆永久展列在"历史风貌保护展厅"，供游客参观。

Consul General Hudak said at the ceremony that Hudec was born in 1893 in the city of Banska Bystrica, which was at that time a part of the territory of the Austro – Hungarian Empire, which dissolved in 1918. Now this region is known as central Slovakia, a part of the Slovak Republic. After Hudec was dead, according to his wish, the architect was buried in Banska Bystrica.

斯洛伐克驻上海总领事弗兰季谢克·胡达克介绍说，1893年，邬达克出生于奥匈帝国的Banska Bystrica，并在那里生活直到1911年。1918年，奥匈帝国解体。如今，Banska Bystrica是斯洛伐克中部的一个城市。邬达克过世后，按他本人的意愿，他被安葬于Banska Bystrica。

"I am very proud and honored to have this unique privilege and opportunity to present today, in the name of the Consulate General of the Slovak Republic, the bust of Ladislav Hudec, to Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center". Consul General Hudak said that today’s event is just a beginning, and the two countries will have more cultural exchange and cooperative space.

总领事表示，他非常自豪和荣幸能以斯洛伐克总领事馆的名义向上海城市规划展示馆赠送邬达克的头像雕塑。今天的活动只是一个开始，今后斯洛伐克和中国还会有更多文化交流与项目合作。

Hudec lived in Shanghai for 29 years from 1918 to 1947, during which he created almost 100 works of architecture in a rich variety of styles, and among them 32 were listed as the excellent historical buildings. The types of his works were also diverse, including hotel, hospital, church, school, factory and private residence.

自1918年到1947年，邬达克在上海生活工作了29年，期间创作了近百余座建筑作品，目前保存完好且被载入上海优秀历史建筑的达32座。邬达克的建筑类型和设计风格丰富多样，作品包括酒店、医院、教堂、学校、工厂、私家住宅等。

"Hudec’s architecture shows the collision and integration of Chinese and Western cultures of the past and present. And it also coincides with Shanghai’s spirit and quality - enthusiasm, excellence, wisdom and modesty", said Hang Yan, President of the exhibition center.

"His works have become one of Shanghai’s classic symbols and its culture and spiritual connotation will nurture and benefit Shanghai forever, and influence the world through Shanghai", she added.

上海城市规划展示馆馆长杭燕在致辞中表示："邬达克及其作品是上海值得留念的过去，也是上海视若珍宝的一笔精神财富,体现了中西文化之间的碰撞、融合和交流的历史，同时又极富现代性，与上海这座城市"海纳百川、追求卓越、开明睿智、大气谦和"的精神和气质完美契合。邬达克建筑已成为上海城市的一个经典符号，他留给上海的文化气息和精神内涵将永远滋润和惠泽上海，并通过上海影响世界。"

The donation ceremony also officially started the "Icon Shanghai – Hudec’s architecture", the series activities for the "2016 Cultural Heritage Day", which are guided by Shanghai People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and Shanghai Municipal Planning, Land and Resources Administration, and hosted by Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center.

The activities include three parts – donation ceremony of the bust of Hudec, orienteering match along Hudec’s works of architecture and artistic exhibition, which are aimed to leading public to inherit the urban symbol of Shanghai, to cultivate the affection and protection to the historical style of the city and to promote the cultural construction of Shanghai.

邬达克头像捐赠仪式的举行，也正式启动了由上海市人民对外友好协会、上海市规划和国土资源管理管理局指导、上海城市规划展示馆主办的上海"2016年文化遗产日"主题系列活动《符号上海-邬达克建筑》。本次主题活动分为"符号上海-邬达克头像雕塑捐赠仪式"、"符号上海-漫行邬达克建筑"定向赛、"符号上海-当艺术遇见邬达克"主题展览三个部分。通过系列活动，旨在引导公众传承上海的城市符号，培育对城市历史风貌的热爱和保护，推进上海的文化建设。
