Shanghai, September 19- Five existing oil tanks at Longhua Oil Depot which is located in Xuhui Waterfront will be transformed into oil tank landscape projects.

The project is expected to start at the end of September. A green area of 48792 square meters will be created after the transformation.

Three moving lines of CORNICHE Waterfront Avenue, CORNICHE Shoreline and Artistic Experience will be the main melody of the green landscape design.

And the green landscape will be divided into seven blocks: green roof, urban forest, platform square, fog-jet square, landscape pool, lawn square and oil tank garden.

Among them, the most distinctive oil tank garden is located on the north side of Longteng Road, which will be open to the public to enjoy the waterfront scenery.

The garden’s interior design will be integrated with the idea of “green super skin” to enrich and perfect the function of the oil tank on the one hand and on the other hand to form a good visual effect.

Notably, the oil tanks are equipped with a lighting design on the facades to make it possible for tourists from both sides of the Huangpu River to see the night scenery.
