Grass-roots street photographer
By:Pan Chenxiao  |  From:english.eastday.com  |  2018-01-22 09:20

Xue Xiaohong, an ordinary housewife from Nanjing, started taking photos six years ago to make up for her emptiness happening after her daughter went to college, which opened the floodgates. She quit the job and put her heart into street photography in 2014.

She said, she likes the real and ordinary of photography and always takes her camera and presses the shutter once having the feeling. Happiness, joy, hope, helplessness, sadness, various emotions in her pictures show the real, commonplace lives. Ms Xue likes walking casually in the street, watching and photographing easily, for no purpose.

Below are some photos taken by her in Nanjing in 2017.
