As the Shanghai Stock Exchange launched the STAR (Sci-Tech innovAtion boaRd) Market, the Yangtze River Delta STAR Market Preparatory Camp was opened in Shanghai on July 28 to provide practical courses and professional support at the key stage before enterprises go public.

Twenty-five excellent enterprises from China’s Yangtze River Delta region, as the first batch of members, will receive six-months of professional training tutored by an entrepreneurship mentor team formed by experts from Deloitte China, the Shanghai SME Listing Promotion Center, Shanghai Securities Association and some famed law firms to find the best way to be listed more quickly.

The six-month course will center on the four modules of “capital market”, “financial practice”, “legal practice” and “management promotion” to energize the propitious high-tech enterprises that are scheduled to list within 3 to 5 years.

Although these enterprises may not be giant "unicorns" at present, they are promising within the main track of science and technology innovation. Their listing in the STAR Market will set a benchmark and promote the momentum of China’s science and technology innovation.

According to Dora Liu, Deloitte China’s Innovation Leader, the cooperation with Shanghai Penta Innovation & Entrepreneurship Institute in creating the training camp is the beginning of both sides working together to incubate China's innovation and entrepreneurship enterprises and accelerate their innovation pace.
