Suitcases handled with kind gloves at airport

When it comes to efficient travel, airports and luggage, many people think of Japan. In Japanese airports, passenger's luggage is always taken good care of by sorting staff who will place the luggage handles outward, making it easier for travelers to pick them up. This gentle treatment of luggage reflects the level of service orientation. Recently, to the delight of many passengers, this customer focused service attitude towards luggage at Shanghai Pudong International Airport has become the new standard.

This became well-known after a Weibo post by Chinese travel writer Liu Xiaoshun on July 27. In his post, Liu said that when he landed at Pudong airport, he was surprised to see a special luggage organizer standing next to the luggage belt, arranging each suitcase for passengers to pick up. Liu travels a lot due to work and has been to many airports across the nation. Usually, in domestic airports, when the passengers pick up their baggage, the suitcases are mostly placed without any order, and there is often no special staff on site helping to arrange them. So when he saw the luggage organizer at Pudong airport, he couldn't help but give the thumbs up for Shanghai.

"That explains why Shanghai will become one of the most developed cities in China,” he said. “After all, the details make the difference."

Liu is not the only one praising the airport’s services. Many passengers also uploaded videos, in which the luggage organizers do their job at the luggage belt. Some netizens have nicknamed the staff “luggage ambassadors.”

It is noteworthy that the luggage arrangers are wearing black gloves made of silicone, which maximizes the protection of luggage, because the silicone layer provides extra grip.
