For foodies, the upcoming second China International Import Expo is a delicacy feast. Famed as a "world kitchen" and "global supermarket", the exhibition will present specialties from both home and abroad like the "world’s largest hot pot", hand grabbed pancake, fried Turnip pie, Singapore Durian and French Cider.

The "world’s largest hot pot", produced by Dezhuang Hotpot, will be made available the Intangible Heritage Hall at the CIIE for the first time.

Having set a Guinness World Record, the hotpot has a diameter of 10 meters, a height of 1.06 meters and a weight of 13 tons. For each meal, it needs 2000 kg of hotpot seasoning, 200 kg of Chinese prickly ash and 500 kg of chilli and can serve 56 customers at one time. The 56 small pots around the outer edge symbolize the unity and harmony of the 56 Chinese ethnic minority groups.

It is not the first time that “the world's largest hot pot”, as the representative of Chongqing hot pot culture, has staged world-class exhibitions. In 2012, it participated in the China Catering Expo in Macao and in 2015, it attended the Expo Milano 2015 in Italy.
