At the International Cultural Festival held by the Journalism School of Fudan University, international students cooked a variety of dishes from their home countries, including Spanish croquettes, the Jordanian dish maqluba, the Canadian dish poutine, sweet potato casserole, Vietnamese spring rolls, the Thai dishes pad khra prao and kailukkoey, and Japanese sukiyaki. People also enjoyed German mulled wine and Indian chai tea.
The most popular dish was Vietnamese spring rolls, and the best fusion match was padkhraprao and Singapore’s pineapple fried rice.
While enabling students to try delicacies from all over the world, the event also allowed them an opportunity to enjoy cultural exchange.
