In the past year, Shanghai has implemented lots of new regulations to facilitate foreigners’ lives including e-tickets, a self-help declaration system for accommodation registration and simultaneous work & residence permit application. Shanghai has also implemented the garbage sorting rule to make the city cleaner and more sustainable, which is a pillar of building a better life for all humankind. As the year 2019 comes to an end, many foreigners send their best wishes to Shanghai.

“I quite like Shanghai what it is like now, and maybe it will be cool to see more sustainability and doing more in plastic recycling,” said Alicia, a German. “I wish Shanghai is developing on the great path as it has been in the past eight or nine years,” said Volker, who is also from Germany and lives here for more than eight years.
