Monet's "Sunrise Impression" debuts in China

French artist Claude Monet's "Sunrise Impression" is the pioneering work of impressionism. Today, this treasure of the town hall of the Mamodan Monet Museum in Paris, France, has come to China.

The "Sunrise·Light - Monet's "Sunrise·Impression" special exhibition opened on the third floor of the Bund One Art Museum, No.1 Zhongshan East Road, Shanghai. A total of 47 works are exhibited in the exhibition, including 9 of Monet's oil paintings on loan from the collection of the Monet Museum in Mamodin, Paris.

The Monet Museum in Paris is the museum with the largest collection of Monet's works in the world. Most of its collections were donated by Monet's son Michel. He donated more than 100 works of Monet to the museum.  Among the 9 works of Monet in the Shanghai exhibition, in addition to "Sunrise Impressions",  are "London Charing Cross Bridge, Impressions of Smoke and Clouds in the Fog", "Sailing Ships, Impressions of Night", and Monet's classic masterpieces such as “Rouville Beach” and “Camille on the Beach”.
