Four Shanghai companies were listed among the second batch of digital business enterprises at the National E-commerce Working Conference held recently in Guiyang, capital of Guizhou province, marking Shanghai’s success in the online new economy.
Digital e-commerce business evaluation is organized by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce and is aiming to boost the digital transformation of enterprises. Company’s investment and innovation in technology fields such as big data, cloud computing, and AI are taken into consideration.
The second batch of 48 listed companies include Shanghai network technology companies operating take-out service platforms like Dada, Dingdong Maicai and Ele.me, representatives of local internet companies that have expanded amid Shanghai’s strong support of the online new economy.
The first batch of digital business companies was announced in January this year, listing 60 companies including Alibaba, JD, Pinduoduo and Xiaomi.
