As the temperature rises, the Hukou Waterfall is gradually wakingup, after beingsilent for thewinter. Melting ice on both sides of the riveris being carried into the water in a violent cascade. River water mist createdby the melting waterfall is like throwing broken jade into the air, forming a bright rainbow.

The Hukou Waterfall Scenic Area reopenedon February 24, 2021 (the 13th day of the first month of the lunar calendar). Previously, due to the low local temperature, the Hukou Waterfall was completely frozen. In order to ensure the safety of tourists, the area in Yichuan County, Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province has temporarily closed the scenic spot.
