The Food Area has always been a hotspot at the China International Import Expo (CIIE), with an aim to create a gathering place for the global food industry. For the upcoming Expo, the topic of “organic food & health” will be emphasized.

Participating companies are going to showcase the latest food products such as plant-based, organic, and functional food, as well as the most cutting-edge production technology and exhibits.
Visitors will see a limited edition Game of Thrones craft beer developed by Mikkeller and Warner Bros, liqueur chocolate with Chinese baijiu in it developed by Denmark’s Anthon Berg and China’s baijiu brands. Danone, a multinational food company from France, will display plant-based dairy products with three different flavors: oat, almond, and coconut. Dole will showcase YOOM purple tomatoes and have its Asia premier of its Belgian Red Pears.
The snack food giant Mondelez International will present nearly 100 products, of which 50% will debut at the CIIE.
Apart from those, exhibits brought by overseas organizations are full of exotic features, including ketchup from Poland, grilled meat from Serbia, and cat feces coffee from East Timor.
