Ye Shuhua, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and honorary director of the Shanghai Astronomical Observatory, is now 95 years old. At the WLA SHE Forum, she gave her encouragement to females:“If you want to get something, you have to fight for it.”

“Certainly, it’s not like boxing. We do not have any harm for people, but whereas, for women, we would like more chances, because we have been mistreated for a long long while,” she added.
