The 2021 Shanghai Marathon, originally scheduled to be held on November 28 (Sunday), will be postponed, according to an official announcement. The specific time will be announced separately.

Runners who are unable to participate due to the postponement of the event, can log in to the Shanghai Marathon website or app, and choose to "reserve" an entry spot for next year, or request a “refund”. The registration fee will be returned to the account they paid with in the same way within seven working days.

Runners who can still participate in the postponed event this year do not need to take any action.

The organizing committee said it appreciates runners’ understanding. Before, it has announced the 2021 Shanghai Virtual Run event which will be from Nov. 28 to Dec. 28.
