Pudong Avenue will soon be open to two-way traffic with all six lanes operational. Starting from Sunday December 5, buses will run on the avenue again, said the Pudong New Area Information Office.

A total of 20 bus lines along the road will be resumed or adjusted to the main line of Pudong Avenue.

Due to urban construction, Pudong Avenue has been under repair and renovation since 2007. It has been the city’s most challenging comprehensive traffic project.

According to plans, there will be two subway lines (Line 14 and Line 18) running under the avenue in the future. Bus stations will also not be far away from the subway lines.
