Who are the right dogs for police work for the Shanghai Customs? Around 60 dogs were tested so as to become qualified police dogs.

The dogs under test belong to different species, such as Labrador, Springer, Golden Retriever, and Beagle.

Detecting drugs, explosives, chemicals and other substances are the most basic skills for a Customs canine. They had to get tested on both static inspection and dynamic inspection.

At last, only 33 dogs passed the exams, and the elimination rate exceeded 40%. The dogs who failed still have opportunities in the make-up exams.

The Canine Force is an integral part of the Customs Force. With their keen sense of smell, they play an important role in customs inspection work.
