To celebrate the 33rd Chen Bochui International Children’s Literature Award, a metro train in Shanghai has been decorated with award-winning art and literary works.
Staring from Dec. 13, on Metro Line 3 which runs from North Jiangyang Road Station to South Shanghai Railway Station, passengers will be able to read illustrations which have been selected from each edition of the Chen Bochui International Children’s Literature Award. Matched with classic lines from the award-winning works, they fill the cars with childhood fun.
“We must fight. We must try.” A line from a painting book by American authors Mac Barnett and Jon Klassen “The Wolf, the Duck, and the Mouse” is exhibited on the handles with Italian artist Philip Giordano’s illustration.
The themed metro train will run for one month, to light up commuters’ journey.
