The first batch of major construction projects in 2022 was launched in the city’s Five New Towns (Jiading, Qingpu, Songjiang, Fengxian and Nanhui New Town).

A signing ceremony was held on Jan. 6 at the construction site of Phase II of the Shanghai United Imaging Industrialization Demonstration Base in Jiading New Town. A total of 40 projects were signed with an investment of 132.82 billion yuan, involving high-end industries, science and technology, infrastructure, and livelihood improvement.
