Day 9:I was surprised to see "detective 803" in the makeshift hospital. What they had done really made us feel warm
Early this morning, a patient found me and said,“You're the journalist who has written the diaries in the makeshift hospital, aren't you? I will soon be discharged and I want to share with you a touching story."
" What's the touching story?" I asked her curiously.
"This is my personal experience!'detective 803' have sent me life-saving potion. I never thought I would get police officers' help in the makeshift hospital," said the patient full of gratitude.
Have you heard of "detective 803"?
Those who live in Shanghai year-round should be familiar with the name.
The Criminal Investigation Department of the Shanghai Public Security Bureau, also known as "detective 803" because it was located at No. 803 North Zhongshan Road. The first time I heard of "detective 803" dates back to my college days more than 20 years ago.
At that time, my college roommate listened to a radio drama called "detective 803" almost every day. In this radio drama, the criminal police officers, who are not afraid of danger and quick to solve cases, becoming the idol of our youth.
I never imagined that I would see "detective 803" more than 20 years later in the makeshift hospital.

What should a highly myopic patient wearing daily disposable contact lenses do when she hasn't spare contact lenses or glasses with her in the makeshift hospital? The patient who I mentioned at the beginning of my diary encountered this difficulty.
Her child is an elementary school student. At the end of March, the child tested positive for COVID-19. Her family then received nucleic acid tests again. Her husband and her tested negative for COVID-19 while the child still tested positive.
This brave mother did not hesitate to accompany her child to go to the makeshift hospital after fully understanding the possible health risks and signing a commitment.
But transportation took place very quickly and, worried about her child, the mother forgot to bring spare contact lenses with her.
"I can't see anything clearly without contact lenses, especially at night. How can I take care of my child?” the woman thought.
When the mother was at a loss as to what to do, two young "detective 803" came forward.
"They said they would try to go to my house to get my contact lenses, but my husband was in quarantine and no one was at home," the patient said.
The two officers still did not give up. They found a small bottle of contact lens solution for the mother so that she can make her old lenses do for a short while before successfully buying new contact lenses.
The patient shows the "life-saving potion" sent by police officers.
" Although my mood is low in the makeshift hospital, thanks to their life-saving potion there is also something making me feel warm," said the patient.
These two young criminal police officers' names are Zhang Qi, born in 1993, and Li Yinan, born in 1994.

When talking about working in the makeshift hospital for more than half a month, Zhang Qi has much to say.

A few days ago, a dispute occurred in the makeshift hospital. An elderly patient with blood cancer was incontinent and had soiled the bedsheet. Later, he came to the nurse station to take a new sheet without saying a word.
At this point, a volunteer from the patients went up to inquire him. The elderly patient in a depressed mood pushed the volunteer. At that moment, Zhang Qi arrived in time to stop things from getting worse.
"No matter how you are feeling, it is definitely wrong to push the volunteer," Zhang Qi said to the elderly patient and made him realize his mistake.
Then Zhang communicated with the volunteer.
Fortunately, after examination, the volunteer was fine. Under the coordination of Zhang Qi, the volunteer chose to forgive the elderly man at last.
Li Yinan is at work.
Zhang Qi told me that they focus on vulnerable groups such as the elderly and children in the makeshift hospital."I am usually in contact with a lot of criminals in my daily work and hadn't have many opportunities to communicate directly with ordinary people before coming to the makeshift hospital," said Zhang Qi. The first thing he did when he came to the makeshift hospital was to adjust his approaches to work.
"In the makeshift hospital, there are patients, not criminal suspects. We must pay attention to carrying out humane and flexible law enforcement," said Zhang Qi.

Whether at the crime scene or in the makeshift hospital,"detective 803" are the idols that have remained in my heart.
