Grain Buds is the second solar term in summer, when grains are gradually full, but not fully mature yet.
A saying during this period mentions, “A heavy rainfall makes the river full.” This indicates the frequent rain after Grain Buds.
The temperature in early summer rises significantly, and the rainfall is heavy, so dampness and heat are intertwined.
The spleen "likes dryness and dislikes dampness", so we should eat light food to clear heat, resolve dampness, and tonify the spleen Qi at this time.
The exercise of Grain Buds strengthens the pericardium meridian sinew of hand-Jueyin.
It starts from the middle finger, connects to the inner side of the elbow, extends to the armpit along the inside of the upper arm, and spreads down to the front and back of the flank.
When inhaling, raise one hand and hold up. Press down the other hand. Meanwhile, look straight forward.
When exhaling, retract both hands to the waist.
Repeat several times according to your own conditions.
