Shanghai reported 2 newly asymptomatic local COVID-19 cases outside of quarantine and locked down communities at a municipal government press conference on August 17.

The following areas have been listed as high-risk: the enclosed area east of Dapu Road, south of Lane 303, Dapu Road, west of Ji Hotel (Luban Road branch) and north of Quxi Road, Wuliqiao Sub-district, Huangpu District; No. 26, Guangzhongzhi Road, Guangzhong Road Sub-district, Hongkou District.
