TO boost its credentials as a world-class institution, Fudan University yesterday announced a plan to allow students more freedom and time to learn about courses they are interested in doing and to achieve comprehensive personal development.
As a result requirements on course credits will be reduced.
Students at Fudan are usually required to obtain 150 credits in four years, but they will now only have to get 120 to achieve the diplomas of their original majors and they can spend the rest time and energy to take courses for a second degree or just for interest, or participate in innovation and startups.
