MORE than 540 sports arenas, gyms and health centers around the city will offer free access to the public today to mark National Fitness Day.

Shanghai Oriental Sports Center is one of five city level sports venues to join the “one day free campaign.”

The center will make its tennis, basketball, table tennis, football and badminton courts available from 9am to 5pm.

The indoor and outdoor swimming pools also offer free entrance before 4pm.

The other city level venues include Shanghai Sports Palace, Shanghai Kanglin Sports Center, Jiangwan Stadium and Zhongyuan Stadium.

Pudong’s Yuanshen Stadium will also make most of its ball game facilities free for use today.
