Foreign woman finally follows court order after border troubles
From:Shine  |  2018-12-07 12:29

A foreigner whose company owed more than 200,000 yuan (US$29,008) in a service contract dispute finally paid the money after being restricted from entering and exiting the country by a local court.

According to the Fengxian District People's Court, the foreign woman is involved in a service contract case the court handled this year. She was ordered to pay the plaintiff the money her company owed, as well as interest.

However, she failed to follow the court's orders until May, when the plaintiff let the court know that the money still hadn't been paid. After an investigation, law enforcement officers found there was no property under her name and no transactions in her bank accounts. The woman went missing and couldn't be tracked down.

It was discovered, though, that the woman is still doing business in the country, so officers imposed some entry and exit restrictions on her.

After she was stopped by the entry-exit administration of Guangzhou, she called the law enforcement officer and offered to return the money.
