A checkpoint at Shibei High Tecnhology Park in Jing'an District where 104 companies have been granted approval to resume work this week.

Fromfootweardisinfection to body temperature alarm systems,ShibeiHigh Technology Park is carrying out the strictest measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus on the first day of the resumption of the work on Monday.

The 3.31-square-kilometer park inJing’an District has 72 entrances and 149 office buildings, home to more than 1,000 companies and 50,000 workers.

A thorough inspection of more than 500 companies who applied to resume work has been carried out.

Of them, 104 companies, with more than 4,000 workers, were granted approval to resume work from this week. The others, including eateries and those who failed to have emergency plans or enough protective gear, were refused.

At 8am on Monday, hundreds of property management staff stood by at 139 inspection sites to check the temperature of everyone entering the park and register their information.

In two of the office buildings, a temperature alert system was installed. The system, with infrared thermometers, automatically sounds an alarm if anyone has a temperature of over 37.3 degrees Celsius.

Footweardisinfection areas have been added at the park’s entrances to the park.

To avoid crowds during the morning and evening rush, the park has designed different routes.

Companies which resume work are required to keep every office cubicle at least three meters apart, and every floor is allowed to have no more than 20 people.
