A total of 2,000 tons of frozen pork imported for Wuhan is being sent from Shanghai Yangshan Port.
Two of five batches, 590 tons in total, have left the port since February 10.
The central government decided to deliver 10,000 tons of frozen pork to Wuhan, the city hit hardest in the ongoing epidemic, including the amount to be delivered from Shanghai.
SIPG, the company in charge of delivery, said it takes 18 hours for the containers of pork to reach Wuhan.
