Sixnew imported COVID-19 cases were reported in the city on Wednesday, said the Shanghai Health Commission on Thursday morning.

The newly diagnosed patients are one Chinese working in the US, one Chinese traveling in India and four Pakistanis, who are all diplomatic personnel.

The six have been transferred to the designated hospital for treatment, while 138 close contacts on the same plane with them have been tracked down and put under quarantine and observation.

So far, of all the 343 imported cases, 331 have been discharged upon recovery and 12 are still hospitalized.

Another one imported suspected case is undergoing test.

No new locally transmitted or suspected cases were reported on Wednesday.

Of all the 341 local cases, 334 have been discharged upon recovery. There have been so far seven local fatalities.

No asymptomatic infection cases are undergoing medical observation now, the health commission said.
