Two new imported novel coronavirus cases were reported in the city on Thursday, while two imported patientsfrom the US were discharged upon recovery, said the Shanghai Health Commission on Friday morning.

The newly diagnosed patients are both Chinese, one working in Zambia and the other working in South Sudan.

The patients have been transferred to the designated hospital for treatment, while all the 88 close contacts on the same plane with them have been tracked down and put under quarantine and observation.

So far, of all the 364 imported cases, 338 have been discharged upon recovery and 26 are still hospitalized.

No imported suspected cases are undergoing test.

No new locally transmitted or suspected cases were reported on Thursday.

Of all the 341 local cases, 334 have been discharged upon recovery. There have been so far seven local fatalities.

No asymptomatic infection cases are undergoing medical observation now, the health commission said.
