Police in Huangpu District released a short film on Wednesday that is said to be based on a real case.

The film, entitled “The Summer of the Hunters,” is about police officers from the district catching fraud suspects.

The case behind the film occurred in May this year, in which Huangpu police caught 72 suspects who allegedly committed Internet and telecom fraud while claiming to sell epidemic prevention supplies. The case allegedly involved over 10.5 million yuan (US$1.6 million).
