Robert Zaal, CEO of RNW Media and RNTC,paid a visit to Eastday.com.

Robert had an exclusive interview with reporter from Eastday.com.

Shanghai, November 28- Strategic cooperation with Eastday.com will help us further enter into Chinese market, make projects land in Shanghai and promote trade between the two countries, said Robert Zaal, CEO of RNW Media, during the exclusive interview with reporter from Eastday.com.

Eastday.com signed Strategic Cooperation MoU with RNW Media (Former Radio Netherlands Worldwide) yesterday afternoon. Both sides are planning to establish strategic cooperative relationship in the areas of brand promotion and project activities in order to further promote the integrative development of Chinese and Dutch media. The signing of the strategic cooperation MoU with RNW Media is Eastday's first cooperation with European companies, and also a milestone measure to increasing both sides’ influence.

As a Dutch public media organization with nearly 70 years history, RNW Media provides excellent media products in English, Chinese, Spanish, Arabic, French and Indian for global audiences through the Internet, radio and television. Its audiences cover 21 countries and regions all over the world. Robert introduced that they keep up with the pace and use media for change. With innovative approaches to media from radio to TV, from TV to Internet and social media in order to provide young people around 15~30 with background information and services and enable them to make informed choices.

Recent years have seen China's rapid development and frequent trade between China and the Netherlands, providing brand new opportunities for RNW Media which is a media with years of experience in China. Reporter learned from the signing ceremony that Helanonline, one of RNW Media’s Chinese website, is established in 2008 to provide Chinese people with objective and independent media information, becoming one of the most popular overseas media in Chinese among young Chinese people. "We will further enter into the Chinese market and seize cooperative opportunities in various fields," said Robert, "we'll provide multilingual and localized media services so as to promote industrial exchanges and trade between the two countries."

The diplomatic relationship between China and the Netherlands is currently stable and political climate is quite well, laying a good foundation  for cooperation between RNW Media and Eastday.com. Robert is looking forward to the two media companies' future collaboration on news dissertation, brand promotion as well as various offline projects so as to consolidate and strengthen their partnership.

Robert also mentioned RNTC during the interview. As the world's leading media training institution with 45-year training experience, the training center has held open classes in two China's cities Xiamen and Guangzhou. It also has customized training course for China's National Press and Publication Administration of Radio, Film and Television. And currently it is expanding commercial media training business for global customers. "Different from ordinary news writing course, we focus on stories behind the news and facts behind the data, " Robert hopes that signing cooperative MoU with Eastday.com can help make training course fall to the ground in Shanghai.

"There are much curiosity in China, and there are much enthusiasm in the Netherlands; the combination of both will create great results," Robert left his signature on Celebrities’ Wall of Eastday.com and write "happy" and "proud" to express his feelings. He believes that the cooperation between the two media companies will surely generate the "1+1=3" effect.

This year is a historic year in China-Netherlands diplomatic history. Prime Minister of the Netherlands visited China in March, and King of the Dutch Kingdom paid a state visit to China just 7 months later in October. Such a high density of high-level visits shows that the leaders of both sides attach great importance to developing strategic partnership with each other.
