China time-honored food brand Wu Fang Zhai yesterday reached cooperation with Walt Disney, and Disney and Marvel cartoon characters will first appear on the packing box of Chinese traditional food zongzi.

Vice president of Retail Sales and Marketing, the Walt Disney Company (China) Angela Wang interprets this cooperation to be “the integration of international classics and Chinese traditions”.

Foreign cartoon characters and Chinese traditional food zongzi are two things at first glance. However, chairman of Wu Fang Zhai Group Li Jianping thinks that the two has brand values in common, “Disney creates happiness and we create delicacy all with our heart and soul.”

The newly launched zongzi gift packages, through elaborate design, covers both Disney classical animation cartoon characters like Mickey, Minnie and Donald Duck and classic characters in Marvel movies such as Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Green Giant Hulk, etc.
