Shanghai, June 23 – 14th China Digital Entertainment Expo and Conference (China Joy) will be held in Shanghai New International Expo Centre from July 28th to 31st, 2016, with record-breaking numbers - 11 exhibition halls and a total area of 140,000 square meters.
Almost 380 speakers are invited this year, of which 40% come from abroad. International companies such as Microsoft, Sony and Blizzard Entertainment show unprecedented interest in China's gaming market and enter it through the expo, said Jiefang Daily, a Shanghai-based newspaper.
This year's China Joy is positioned as the world's largest gaming-led digital entertainment display platform covering TV & film, animation and online fiction stories.
The host will hold a series of "pan-entertainment" meetings, including China Digital Entertainment Congress (CDEC), China Game Developers Conference (CGDC), World Mobile Game Conference (WMGC) and World Digital Entertainment Intellectual Property Cooperation Conference (WIPCON), according to the expo's official wechat.
The event is expected to draw 900 exhibitors and an estimate of 360,000 viewers this year, said the newspaper.
