Shanghai, July 16- “Our innovation and entrepreneur education is not for a good job, but for cultivation of entrepreneurship which will help more students solve jobs problem,” said Fan Liming, principal of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE).

Yesterday is the one-year anniversary of SUFE School of Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Fan shared her thoughts on innovation and entrepreneur education. She noted that although this kind of education contributes to self-employment, SUFE’s entrepreneur education is not just for the purpose.

“The emphasis of universities’ innovation and entrepreneur is education. Using college students’ success rate as a measurement of innovation and entrepreneur education is inaccurate and short-sighted. The success of college students is in years to come.” Fan Liming said.

Fan also stressed that innovation and entrepreneur education should be vigorously promoted from the following aspects: establishing a coordination mechanism, constructing an entrepreneur mentor team, making a batch of projects, setting up a batch of funds and creating an innovative entrepreneurial atmosphere.

SUFE university- enterprise cooperation signing ceremony and SUFE School of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Development Forum was held yesterday. Fan Liming, school’s executive vice dean Liu Zhiyang, Wang Xiaohua, chairman of Union Capital and students from the 2nd Kuangshi Class attended the ceremony.

During the ceremony, SUFE respectively signed cooperative agreements with Seentao and Jingjia Cuture, announcing both sides will joint build innovation and entrepreneur practice teaching labs, set up entrepreneur scholarship and organize “Internet+ Cultural Innovation” competitions, etc.

Enterprises’ representatives also gave speeches during the following forum on innovation and entrepreneur talent cultivation and diverse university- enterprise cooperation methods from different aspects.
