The Chinese alligator, is recognized by the International Union for Conservation of Nature as the most endangered crocodile in the world.
In 2007, it was introduced into the habitats in Dongtan wetland on Chonming Island, China. Generally, the results of monitoring show that the introduced species could quickly adapt to the new environment and lay eggs to incubate.
All the eggs in the newly found nest are most likely to be successfully incubated, experts claimed.
