Shanghai, September 18- The 2017 Shanghai Tourism Festival “Micro-tour in Shanghai” activity yesterday kicked off simultaneously in six districts of Hongkou, Pudong, Huangpu, Jing’an, Xuhui and Changning.

There are four routes in the 2017 version, namely “Shanghai History”, “Shanghai West Bank”, “Shanghai Beauties” and “Revolutionary Love”.

These routes, with the central theme of "waterfront story”, will provide nearly a thousand people who have been recruited to take part in the city’s micro-tour a fantastic experience.

These micro-tours will also present the waterfront stories as the 45-kilometer waterfront along the Huangpu River will open to the public by the end of this year, which will be a new name card of the metropolis.

The city’s west bank is north from the Rihui Port and south to the Xupu Bridge, with an 8.4-kilometershoreline of Huangpu River.

It can be regarded as a perfect exhibition of the city’s modern industrial heritage and the intersection of Chinese and western culture.

Some of the micro-tour routs will increase the experience frequency in late September and October, according to the city’s tourism bureau.
