Shanghai, October 9- The city’s parks, during the Golden Week holiday, received more than 6.48 million person-times, with an average of 810,000 person-times a day which shows an increase of 1.8 percent from the same period last year, according to statistics released by the local government.

With moderate temperature during the past eight days, the total number of tourists the city receives increased slightly, with the peak of passenger flow occurred on October 3 and October 7. Shanghai’s paid parks receive 1.21 million tourists, with a daily average of 152,000, down 0.9% from the same period last year.

Notably, each district has strengthened the inspection of indoor exhibition halls, performance fields, water surface, rockery, slope and other safety areas, and no safety accidents occurred during the holiday.

In order to enrich visitors’ travel experience, many parks are also well-decorated and arrange various interactive activities. Gongqing Forest Park, for example, held carnival and beer festival during the Golden Week holiday, attracting nearly 100,000 passengers in eight days.

In addition, various activities including Autumn Theme Flower Exhibition, Happy Folk Festival, Butterfly Exhibition and Qiang Culture Week, also attracted numerous visitors from all parts of the city.
