World Snooker Shanghai Masters to continue this November

Ding Junhui will defend his crown at the 2017 World Snooker Shanghai Masters.

The 2017 World Snooker Shanghai Masters will take place from November 13 to 18. World-famous snooker players like China’s top player Ding Junhui and English professional snooker and pool player Ronnie O’Sullivan will compete at the Shanghai Indoor Stadium for the crown.

Staged in the city of Shanghai, this tournament has been present on the calendar since 2007, so it is celebrating its 11th staging in 2017. Before, rumor has it that the event is to be canceled.

The 2017 World Snooker Shanghai Masters will have more players than previous years, with at least 64 players at the final venue. With the event played over six days, it will definitely be an intense schedule with fierce competition.

The total prize money for the event will be 700,000 pounds, an increase of 50 percent compared to the last season. The champion will receive 150,000 pounds, equaling the record for the biggest prize paid at a ranking event staged outside the U.K.
