The Christmas holiday season is coming. As one of the first places in Shanghai to light up with Christmas magic, Shanghai Disney Resort lit up its first Christmas tree on Monday.

At 5:30 p.m. on November 27, a Christmas tree lighting ceremony attracted a large crowd of guests at Shanghai Disney Resort. Anna, Elsa and Olaf from Walt Disney Pictures’ animated hit “Frozen” made their appearances before the public, lighting up a Christmas tree in front of the Enchanted Storybook Castle. As tall as nearly 20 meters, the tree sparkled with thousands of colorful lights on it, while a piece of music was played to celebrate the splendid moment.

At the same time, Christmas trees at different locations throughout the resort were also lit up, inviting tourists to pose for photos and make a wish for the coming year.

The entire Shanghai Disney Resort has already been swathed in garland, ornaments, Mickey Mouse-shaped Christmas wreaths and traditional red bows, adding to the festive atmosphere at every turn. According to Kankanews.com, from November 27, 2017 to January 1, 2018, the resort will host a variety of authentic Christmas celebrations and bring holiday charm to its visitors. Apart from the lighting ceremony each night, a Christmas-themed dance performance will also be staged at Shanghai Disneyland each morning.
