Starbucks' first overseas baking workshop (hereinafter referred to as Shanghai bakery) will be located in Shanghai, China and open to guests in the near future. Situated onWest Nanjing Road of Shanghai, world’s most prosperous commercial circle, the workshop is in HKRI Taikoo Hui, Shanghai’s latest high-end commercial complex integrating retail, leisure, office and hotel.

In 2014, the coffee seller set up the industry’s first baking workshop in its original birthplace Seattle. Covering an area of 2700 square meters, the Shanghai bakery will bring unique retail experience to audiences in a creative form. Customers could learn about the coffee roasting and cooking process in zero distance and taste world’s precious and rear coffee varieties.

"The Chinese market presents the most important and exciting new opportunities for Starbucks. As the first Starbucks roasting workshop outside the United States, we will use more innovative designs to make it a shining and amazing Starbucks store. And local elements and unique experiences that resonate with Chinese customers will also be added." said Howard Schultz, Starbucks board executive chairman.
