Amid the 7th World Forum on China Studies which kicked off at Shanghai International Convention Center on December 10, Du Jinsen, former director of Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) introduced that the current Vietnam society gets more and more diversified and young people like Chinese movies.

According to Du, many Vietnam channels broadcast Chinese films since the similarities between the two cultures arouse local people’s interest.
The two-day World Forum on China Studiesincluded a general session, roundtable meetings and special panels where participants shared their thoughts and ideas on China's development and academic achievements.
Founded in 2004, the biennial forum provides an academic platform for the China studies field and aims to foster a better understanding between China and the world.
